FC Barcelona to Host Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
